The cover dated April 7 1917 is unfortunate in many ways as at some point a very clumsy attempt was made to repair it. Although the cover is legitimate, part of the cds and the right side of the registration handstamp has been hand drawn to cover the fact that an 8c or 2c stamp is missing from the cover.
